What is Link Crew?

Link Crew is a student mentor program that partners junior and senior student leaders to lead a group of 8-10 freshmen as they navigate through their first year of high school. We are a student organization that has 110 student leaders who mentor over 400 freshmen. One of our biggest events is freshmen orientation which was held virtually this year. All freshmen met their leaders over zoom and engaged in an hour long team building session with their peers. Link Leaders trained for over 5 hours via zoom to prepare for orientation. In addition to hosting freshmen orientation, Link Crew hosts virtual meet-ups at least every other month, as well as doing virtual check-ins every month. Our goal is to help freshmen feel a part of Stoney Creek High School, and it is an even bigger goal this year being in a remote setting. In the past, Link Crew has hosted several events including Trunk or Treat, Holiday Cookie Decorating, Pumpkin Painting, Game Nights, and celebrating holidays such as Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. We love our Stoney Creek Freshmen Cougars!!
